About Me

I'm Vedant Chavan, an MSc graduate in Cloud Computing based in Dublin with a strong background in Computer Science and hands-on experience building backend systems and cloud-based applications.

My main interests are Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, and backend development. I enjoy designing scalable systems, automating infrastructure, containerizing applications, and building reliable deployment workflows using modern cloud and CI/CD practices.

I have worked across AWS and Microsoft Azure and built projects involving Django, Flask, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and cloud-native services. My experience includes backend APIs, deployment automation, cloud-hosted applications, and production-style project delivery.

AI / RAG LangChain Docker

RAG Document Q&A Pipeline

Ask questions about a set of documents and get answers based only on their content, not the model's general knowledge. Uses LangChain with OpenAI (GPT-4o-mini for answers, text-embedding-3-small for search), a Chroma/Pinecone vector store, and Redis to cache repeat questions. Packaged with Docker, with a Streamlit front end.

AWS Terraform Monitoring

CloudNative CarZone Platform

A Django app deployed on AWS behind Nginx, with PostgreSQL for data and Prometheus + Grafana for monitoring. Terraform provisions the EC2 server and networking, and a CI/CD pipeline builds the Docker image, pushes it to AWS ECR, and redeploys it automatically.

A Jenkins pipeline for a Flask + MySQL app: on every push, Jenkins builds a Docker image, runs checks and a Trivy security scan, pushes the image to AWS ECR, then deploys it to EC2 with Docker Compose.
